Miracle Baby

It was a miracle how you came into our lives
As you reached out for a gentle hug
That was only the start
For you reached out to get a hug
And instead you took our hearts!

You were drawn to us in such a special way
That brought tears of joy to our eyes
How delightful and how wonderful
And what a joyous surprise!

You reached out in wonder and love for the world
And as your eyes rested on each new thing
We saw them through your baby eyes
And it was like welcoming the birth of spring.

Oh, God above could not bless us any more
Than He has done for us today
For He has bestowed on us more joy
Than our words could ever say!

And for now and ever more
When we count our blessings here on earth
We will thank the Lord in Heaven
For the precious mother who gave you birth.

Oh How I Love You (For Birth Mothers)

It should have been the best of times
The happiest time in the world
A time for bonding between a mother
And her precious baby girl.

Oh what love poured through my heart
What first I set eyes on you!
How could I provide the life I wanted you to have
Whatever could I do?

Agony, untold and beyond description
Filled my heart each day
As I made up my mind that my decision had to be
To give my most beloved babe away.

I gave you up not because I didn't love you
Oh, if only it had been that way!
I gave you up because I loved you more than life itself
And loved you more each day.

I gave you up because I saw in you
Beauty and intelligence and grace
Because I saw a love of life and desire to live
In your precious baby face.

And live you would and live you must
A life that would be wonderful and sweet.
I knew that I must do what was best
Oh, how my heart did beat!

I prayed that someday God above
Would bring you back to me
And that the heart that loved you then and loved you still
You would be able to see.

And mercifully God answered my prayer
And let us find each other
How wonderful was the reuniting
Of you dear child to this yearning mother!

My heart has never beat so fast
Nor has it been so thrilled
As now it was to have that child shaped spot
Once again recognized and filled!

And God has let us be dear friends
Which is quite enough for me
For now I have you to touch and hold
And love for eternity!

Our Happiness

We knew the moment that we saw you
That our baby you were meant to be
That God had brought us together
It was so plain to see!

For there was a bond between us
That stirred my soul inside
I felt such love within my heart
It was as if in joy my spirit cried.

Your daddy was so happy
I knew he felt it too,
That special certain something
That existed for us with you.

We knew that we already loved you
From the moment our eyes met
And the love planted in our hearts that day
Has not stopped growing yet!

Each day we love you more and more
And so thankfully I confess
That you complete our family
And are our happiness!

The Moment We Saw You

We knew the moment that we saw you
That our baby you were meant to be
That God had brought us together
It was so plain to see!

For there was a bond between us
