If you are on a very limited budget like me (heck, I don't even have a budget!!), or just want to make your dollar go further (don't most of us?), then you came to the right place! The biggest money saving tip is to NOT go out and buy everything! This is where having a friend with the same obsession (I mean interest!) comes in handy. I don't have the money to go out and buy everything I like (and there's a lot!), but I have a friend who buys a lot of punches, so she lets me come over with my scraps and punch away!
I really think about whether or not to buy something and not just cause I really like it! There are lots of cute things out there, but that doesn't mean you'll get enough use to justify the costs. I buy punches I know will be used many times and are usually versatile. Maple leaves not only are useful for spring, summer and fall but make good fires too! We get snow every year, so I know I'll use the snowflake punch lots of times. Apples become cherries, tulips, pumpkins and even animal faces!
Also, I rarely pay full price for anything. There are occasions, but not very often! I usually bide my time for a great sale. I often buy things at least 40% off or more. If you shop online or by catalog, add in your shipping costs to figure out how much you are really paying per item.
Think outside the box. Look around your house with a new perspective! Baby wipe containers can hold pens, scissors and other small tools. Turn cereal boxes into magazine holders!
