Apr. 1 ~ April Fool's Day! -- Ain’t no foolin’ today’s the day to turn your clocks ahead one hour (2 a.m. Sunday). Hopefully the joke’s not on you. Today is also National Fun Day. That’s a pretty broad category, so grab your camera & start the celebration!

Apr. 2 ~ International Childrens’ Book Day -- A perfect day for an adventure to the library or book store. Does your child have a favorite book? Have you scrapped it yet? Childrens books are full of imagination & wonder & can inspire amazing layouts. Give it a try.

Apr. 5 ~ Thank Your School Librarian Day -- They are the people who search out mysterious places, find every character known to television—in book format, and fill your childrens’ heads with possibilities. Break out your scraps & make your librarian a card or bookmark. Put a little smile in his/her day.

Apr. 7 ~ NO HOUSEWORK DAY -- I found it on the internet & I’m bound to report it. Today you are fully exempt from lifting a finger. No laundry, no dishes. Put that vacuum away. Take every housework minute & turn them into scrap moments today!

Apr. 9 ~ National Women’s Nutrition week begins today -- It’s time to catch up on some of your recipe swaps. Or maybe start a new healthy swap this week?

Apr. 12 ~ Walk on your Wildside Day -- You are obligated to do a LO of your family’s wildsides today with a National holiday like this one! Just how crazy is your family?

Apr. 15 ~ Husband Appreciation Day -- Now before you laugh…he does let you buy all those supplies. Show him a little appreciation with a card, some coupons…a hot meal.

Apr. 16 ~ Easter Sunday -- Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail…what did he leave in your basket? Easter layouts are so fun to make. Between the candy, pictures with the Easter bunny, egg hunts, flowers & bonnets you simply can’t go wrong. Don’t forget to swing by the IDOS gallery for a little sketching inspiration.

Apr. 17 ~ That Horrible IRS Check is Due Day -- The 15th was Saturday, making this Monday extra horrible. I hope you don’t owe.

Apr. 22 ~ Earth Day: Please take the time to find out about celebrations in your area. Many towns sponsor park clean ups or other community involved activities. It’s our planet & we need to take good care of her.

Apr. 22 ~ National Jelly Bean Day -- Do you have a favorite brand or flavor? Are you a Jelly Belly master? Tonight’s dessert is pure sugar!

Apr. 24 ~ National Turn OFF your TV week begins today -- It’s great for the family to remember life without television. But as a scrapper, think of how many pages you could do if you weren’t glued to the tv like a zombie! Are you willing to try?

Apr. 27 ~ Take our daughters & sons to work Day -- This is an exciting day for many kids. Getting to experience mom & dad’s day at work, riding on a train or bus, paper clip art & photocopy faces galore! Don’t forget to bring your camera to work. You’ll need to scrap this one.
