November Fun Stuff To Do!! All ideas submitted by Jeanine (moosassah)! Thanks, Jeanine!
November 2 ~ Look For Circles Day--This one should be easy for any scrapper with our endless supply of punches, eyelets, buttons etc. The trick is to find your circles and use them in a LO.
November 5 ~ World Teachers Day: We have teachers to thank for all the knowledge we've gathered. Some of us have teachers to thank for those free hours during the day when we can scrap without interruption. Shhh! Don't let the kids know you're having fun while they're in school. Share your scraps with the kids & let them make their teachers a card after they finish their homework.
November 10 ~ Forget-Me-Not Day--It's time to break out your scraps and make up a card for that someone you don't see or talk to often. Get it in the mail and let them know that they are not forgotten.
November 10 ~ USMC Day--Give them a moment of silence and a whole lot of prayer.
November 11 ~ Veterans Day--Here's something you might not know, "On November 11 at 11:11, 1921 the U.S. France and England each buried an unknown soldier in honor of those who died in World War I. This began the annual Armistice Day holiday. The time and day was picked because fighting ceased in WWI in 1918 on November 11 at 11:11. In keeping with this tradition, work stops on this day and time each year for a moment of silence."
November 13 ~ Sadie Hawkins Day--It all started from the Andy Capp cartoon. Today this holiday is celebrated by school dances where the girls ask the guys to dance. Sometimes women use this day as their chance to ask him for his hand in marriage. If you've got a Sadie Hawkins story, it should surely be entered into your scrapbooks.
November 13 ~ World Kindness Day--This one can be as simple as letting a car out into traffic or take it further if you feel the need. Whatever you do remember to be kind today.
November 14 ~ Young Readers Day--Do you ever scrap with your kids? Use young readers day as an excuse to make a page about the books they love to read and hear you read to them.
November 15 ~ America Recycles Day--Scrappers are notorious recyclers even if they don't realize it at first. We've got piles of scrap papers. We see onion bags as potential embellishments. We pass on our no longer needed supplies to other scrappers who can use them. My personal favorite recycling site is www.freecycle.org if you haven't joined in your community yet, give it a try & save the world one treasure at a time.
November 16 ~ Button Day--Well, if it's a holiday then you are totally obligated to get out your buttons and scrap with them!
November 16 ~ Great American Smoke Out! --YOU CAN DO IT!!! We'll even help support you if you want our help. Vent on the bb & we'll be their to reassure you that you can make it this time. Try, please.
November 17 ~ Take a Hike Day--A hike doesn't have to involve a 40 lb pack and a 5,000 footer. You can take a hike at one of your local parks. Bring your camera. Capture nature. Enjoy the crisp Autumn air.
November 22 ~ Go For A Ride Day--Appropriate that this falls on the day before Thanksgiving. Even if you are not traveling for the holiday you can still partake in this day. Grab your camera. Take a ride around your town. Look at it from the point of view of a tourist. Get some great pictures to make a LO of where you live.
November 23 ~ Turkey Day!--Thanksgiving. What's better than being surrounded by a bunch of turkeys and stuffing yourselves silly? Gobbling up all those homemade desserts that Grandma bakes! Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day. Enjoy your family. Be safe on your travels.
November 24 ~ Go Stand in Long Lines Day to save 10% Day--OK I made this one up. It's actually referred to as Black Friday. Are you CRAZY enough? How about going out with a nice cup of coffee & not shopping. Just watch all the craziness and giggle. Good luck you early risers!
November 30 ~ Stay at Home Because you are WELL Day: This is a sign from above. Stay at home. Scrap your heart out today. It's OK to take a YOU day now & then. See, they made a holiday out of it. Try it, you know you'll like it!
November 30 ~ There are only 25 days left until Christmas. How are you doing with your scrap-made gifts? Got all your mailing gifts ready to go to the post office yet?
