A Teacher Is

A teacher is more than an instructor
More than just a guide
A teacher must look at each child
And see the precious worth inside!

A teacher is more than a leader
But must lead the children each day.
A teacher must listen to a child's heart
Not just to the words they say.

Sometimes we have the rare privilege
Of a teacher that is beyond compare
And you are one of those teachers
The answer to a parent's prayer!

God Bless The Fireman

God bless the fireman
As he goes to work each day.
Let him feel your presence
And send your peace his way.

We cannot begin to thank him
For all the brave deeds hewill  do
We have not the words to say....
That's why we are asking you.

We humbly accept the work he does
Knowing that it is a hero's life
Putting neighbor, city, country
Sometimes ahead of wife.

Oh Father bless the fireman's wife
And let her know we care
And everytime a fire truck passes
I will remember both of them in prayer

God Bless The Mommies

God bless the mommies
And bless the daddies too
Who try to teach their children
To be good and kind and true.

God bless the moms who have to work
And must trust others for a child's care.
When inside their aching hearts
They wish they could be there.

Bless the ones who wish each day
That they could stay at home with each
And love them and cuddle them
To guide them and to teach.

God bless the mommies in uniform
Who had to leave their child behind
To go out to fight the wars we wage
Defending our nation s rights and mine

God bless the mommies who are left behind
While daddy goes out to fight
Leaving them alone with kids
Night after night after night.

Fill these moms with your peace Dear Lord
And take away all of their fear
Bring home to these families before too long
Husbands and daddies so dear.

Bless the moms that stay at home
And take the task to heart each day
Of nurturing and guiding children
Teaching them as they work and play.

God bless the mommies who though so tired
And weary at the end of the day
Take time to kneel by a little ones bed
And take the time to pray....

God bless the mommies.....

God Bless The Nurse

God bless the nurse
Who works so very hard each day
Who makes so many sacrifices
In such an unselfish way.

God bless her as she sleeps
And help her get sweet gentle rest
Let her feel your presence Lord
And know that she is blessed.

God bless her family
And keep them in your loving arms
Let her be confident that while she does your work
You've kept them free from harm.

God bless the nurse
Give her your confidence and strength each day
To handle all the difficult tasks
That may come her way

Lord Bless The Artists

Lord bless eyes that see beauty in an ordinary thing
And by their brush or pencil to our eyes can bring
Delightful representations and colors bright
That bring joy to our senses and to our heart--delight!

Bless hands that hold the pencils
And hands that use the brushes
Hands that create lovely baskets
Woven out of rushes.

Bless hands that write out notes
That musicians world wide will play
Music that is heard somewhere
On any given day!

Bless the eyes that see the designs
In a block of stone or piece of wood
And from a solid substance
Create something beautiful and good!

Lord bless the song writer
And give him words of praise
That will fill our hearts with joy
And bring sunshine to our days!

Thank you Lord for beauty
And for the artists you inspire
Help each one to fashion from their art
A testimony of who you are!

Lord Bless The Teacher

And as I send my child to school each day
There is a little prayer I say:
"Lord, I ask that the  teachers be kind
To this precious child of mine."

When there are duties that parents share
And  I have reason to visit there
I have another little prayer:
"Lord, bless the teacher!"

"Oh, Lord", I've prayed as I watch you
"Give her the strength for all she must do
And give her wisdom straight from you....
Oh, Lord bless the teacher!"

I see how hard you work each day
To help children  learn to work and play
I see your tender loving way....
And even more I stop and say:
"Lord, help the teacher!"

When your day is really tough
And you feel you've had enough
Just remember that there are those who care
And remember you in daily prayer....

Lord, Bless You Teacher!

Parents, Thank You For Your Trust (A Teacher's Poem)

Thank you, parents, for trusting me
With your most valuable treasures
I know that the worth of each little one
Is something beyond all measure.

I do not take it lightly
That you entrust them to my care
And give you my word of honor
That your love for them I share.

I understand the concern you have
That your child be treated well each day
And your desire for their health and safety
Whether at their work or at their play.

Your child is safe here in my care
And I treasure their moments here
For I chose to be a guardian of these tiny souls
When I chose teaching as my career.
