Spouses
Written by Thena Smith unless otherwise stated
Chances Are Remote
You are all set for a nice evening at home
Your husband is there so you are not alone.
You cuddle up on the sofa to watch the tv
And what do you think the chances will be
Of your watching a show from beginning to end
Without the channel being changed again and again...
If your husband is there, then as I wrote
I'd say your chances are
REMOTE!
I Love Him
I love him when he is happy
And feeling full of fun
Love him when he is tired and weary
When his work day is done.
I love him when he is romantic
And roses come my way
I treasure every loving word
That I hear my sweetheart say.
I love him in sickness
I love him in health
And tho I haven't tried it yet
I could love him also in
wealth....
My Husband
If you would ask me how much I love you
I would have to say I do not know
For each day that I am with you
That love tends to grow!
If you ask me why I love you
I could not tell you why
It would be like asking me
To describe the sky!
I love you when we are together
And I love you when we are apart.
For You are always with me
As close as my beating heart.
Romantic Evening
We have candlelight
by which to dine
We have a loaf of bread
And a bottle of wine.
We have a lace tablecloth
And as the music softly plays
The mood is set for the romantic evening
That we planned for days.
I have on my lovely new dress
And he is dashing in his suit.
We raise our glasses in a toast
And our romantice evening begins... almost...
Suddenly we hear it at the same time
We put down the glasses
And we don't sip the wine
Baby is crying ''Mommy, I up!''
We pick up instead her little sippy cup.
Hand in hand we go to her room
And we stand for awhile
His hand in mine as we look
And we smile.
Baby laughter and giggles
And squeals of delight
At seeing Mommy and Daddy
In the midst of her night.
She wants to play
And she wants us to share
All the happiness and joy
That she has to spare!
We share a look
A smile and a glance
And know for a fact
That this is true romance.
