Shamrocks and stickers
Green hats and such
Are just little doodads
That people can touch.
They don't make you Irish
But they do make you smile
After you wear them
For a little while!

Tis a blessing to be Irish
No matter where you live
For the Irish folks are loving
And the Irish love to give!

So if you see an Irish lad
Or lassie on this day
Give them a kiss upon the check
And your smile will last all day!!

Lucky to be Irish!

I'm so lucky to be Irish
I think it's just the best
To have been born part Irish
And consider that I'm blessed!

What would I need to have
To consider that I'm a lucky girl?
I don't need a lot of stuff...
But I guess if one is born part Irish
Then that is luck enough!

My daddy kissed the Blarney Stone
And passed his gift on to me
He said that to be part Irish
Was to be my legacy.

Well, Daddy was so right
I am so lucky every day
That folks just take it as "blarney"
Most of the things I say!!
